Derby Days 2011 promises to be even better than 2010. It will take place this spring, however the dates are not yet set so please check back for more information.

Derby Days

Derby Days is the annual Sigma Chi philanthropy event. Every year we enlist the help of the campus sororities and local businesses to raise money for varying causes. Derby Days includes a week of fun and exciting events including: a formal kickoff dinner, coin wars, bean bag toss, banner designing, balloon a brother, and many others.

We had our most successful year in raising money for Oligo Nation, a charity started by new alumnus Spencer Greene to raise money for Oligodenroglioma brain tumor research. The strong effort put into this week-long event by our Derby Days chairs, Thomas Dacey and Caleb Randall-Bodman, was a key factor to our triumph. We would like thank all of the girls and businesses who participated with special recognition to the women of Delta Gamma who raised the most money for the cause.
